Where it all begins
Every piece starts with an idea — sometimes a feeling, sometimes a colour, sometimes just a blank canvas and a brush. The studio is where those ideas take shape.
Jay works across a range of mediums and scales, from intimate studies to large-scale installations. The process is always evolving, always searching for something new.
The Process
Concept
Every commission begins with a conversation. Understanding the space, the client, and the feeling they want to evoke.
Exploration
Sketches, colour studies, and material experiments. This is where the work finds its direction.
Creation
Acrylic on canvas, brushed steel, glass, or digital — the medium is chosen to serve the piece, not the other way around.
Delivery
Every piece is finished, framed if required, and delivered ready to hang. No prints, no reproductions — each one completely original.
